The economy is BAD. tt’s an understatement. Wad Pee said is realli quite creepy. All the year before that of the Tiger always sinks into recession (a.k.a every 12 yrs). but if its any accurate, the economy should look better by end of 2009, or the start of 2010. Hope it happens earlier tho. If not everyone is gonna suffer. And hu can we blame? Fate? the curse of the 12 year cycle? well, maybe we can push all the blame to those rich investment bankers in the US/Europe who have been pushing and selling those subprime products for the sake of earning more money w/o taking into account the big picture (this is taken from a Straits Times article by an actual London banker. Not something i made up to find a scapegoat.) Well…blame it on greed then. tt’s all i can say. Sin, and be prepared for the backlash.

rite…this post is crap. anyway, i can’t wait to get some sun and sea again!!!! omg. im dying. and my end year block leave seems to be on the verge of being consumed by work….NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Was watching Discovery Channel (finally got the chance to be a couch potato for a day), and the show “Battle for the Amazon” was airing. It portrays the complexities and delicate issues behind international environmental problems, mainly the deforestation of the Amazon. (Anyways, I shall not go into tt.) The main thing etched in my mind was this one sentence by the Wamiri tribe spokesperson, “The white men (outside world) work only for themselves, or to support their immediate family only. To me, that is wrong.” Nicely said.

F***

This is the first of many future times i totally burnt my wkends for work. From morning all the way till night like 10/11pm. And its the first time i handle a project all by myself. Screwed up like mad. I was so utterly kan chiong and frustrated that i was trying not to breakdown. Apparently it will be quite the norm in future, but since its my 1st time facing this, im giving myself a break.

Note to all: I am officially boycotting all SAMSUNG products. Just cos the client is a fucking asshole. Fucking hell. Fucking koreans. (sorry ros…this only applies to these particular few assholes).

Anyways, this new girl tt jus joined my company, also from NTU, is sooooo pretty that my guy colleague thinks she’s perfect. (he knew her since 3 yrs ago). looks, figure, character…apparently she will have a v good career in pico, cos she’s so perfect. WAHAHHA. all the guys will go help her voluntarily, and she wun get scolded if she screws up. – this is not just my personal opinion. good hor….being pretty realli helps man. i shud start putting on makeup, wear nicer clothes and go on super diet. woot!

Reminder to why we travel

Was mindlessly surfing travel blogs, when I came across this wonderful post by Lola Akinmade.

It inspires one to travel, and reminds one as to WHY we travel. We travel to learn, explore, appreciate other countries and ultimately learn to appreciate home even more.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

“To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world.” – Freya Stark

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Bent

-Matchbox Twenty-

If I fall along the way
Pick me up and dust me off
And if I get too tired to make it
Be my breath so I can walk

If I need some other love
Give me more than I can stand
And when my smile gets old and faded
Wait around Ill smile again

Shouldnt be so complicated
Just hold me and then
Just hold me again

Can you help me Im bent
Im so scared that Ill never
Get put back together

Youre breaking me in
And this is how we will end
With you and me bent

If I couldnt sleep could you sleep
Could you paint me better off
Could you sympathize with my needs
I know you think I need a lot

I started out clean but Im jaded
Just phoning it in
Just breaking the skin

Can you help me Im bent
Im so scared that Ill never
Get put back together

Youre breaking me in
And this is how we will end
With you and me bent

Start bending me
Its never enough
I feel all your pieces

Start bending me
Keep bending me until Im completely broken in

Shouldnt be so complicated
Just touch me and then
Just touch me again

Can you help me Im bent
Im so scared that Ill never
Get put back together

Youre breaking me in
And this is how we will end
With you and me bent

Can you help me Im bent
Im so scared that Ill never
Get put back together

Youre breaking me in
And this is how we will end
With you and me bent
